To improve the performance of a compressor and to improve the durability of a scroll member by optimizing the relief to the work allowance at a central side edge part of the spiral bodies forming a scroll member.
In a scroll type compressor wherein a root angular part at a central side edge part where the stress of both spiral bodies 10, 20 becomes high, is provided with a reinforcement part (for example, large R) which is further reinforced than that of a root angular part of the other part, the first relief formed by the cut parts 41, 42, 43 and 44, are formed on an area where both spiral bodies are kept into contact with each other at a part where only one of the spiral bodies 10, 20 comprises the reinforcement part, and the second relief formed by the cut parts 45, 46, and having the relief larger than the first relief, is formed on an area where both spiral bodies are kept into contact with each other at a part where both spiral bodies comprise the large R, whereby the reliefs for preventing the interference on the contact points, of the both spiral bodies 10, 20 can be effectively formed.
