To provide a scroll type compressor which reduces a friction coefficient on a sliding contact part with a tip seal to prevent the generation of frictional powder and further reduces the leakage of compressed gas, to thereby improve efficiency of the entire compressor.
A stationary scroll 110 and a turning scroll 120 are made of metal, and a stationary side tip seal 113, which is provided at the tip end of a stationary tooth, and a turning side tip seal 123, which is provided at the tip end of a turning tooth, are made of resin. In at least either one of a tooth bottom surface 120h of a turning base and a tooth bottom surface 110h of a stationary base, a resin coating layer R1 is formed, excluding the sliding contact part with the stationary side tip seal and/or the sliding contact part with the turning side tip seal.
