PURPOSE: To provide uniformity in a thrust gap between a lap part and an end plate by heating the lap part held to a predetermined temperature.
CONSTITUTION: A heater 22 and a temperature sensor 24 are provided in an end plate 21A of a fixed scroll 21, and a temperature adjusting meter 26 is constituted to adjust a current value supplied to the heater 22 based on a detection signal from the temperature sensor 24. Accordingly, in the case of low temperature of the end plate 21A at the time of starting operation or the like, the heater 22 is heated by a current from the temperature adjusting meter 26, and a lap part 21B, quickly reaching a rated operational temperature, is thermally expanded to almost equalize height dimensions H1, H2, H3 of this lap part 21B, so that a thrust gap δ is early provided with uniformity to seal each compression chamber 8.
