To decrease a sliding resistance between a fixed scroll and a turning scroll and reduce the overall size.
A fixed scroll 21 is provided with a substantially disc-like end plate 21A, a flange portion 21B provided at the outer edge side of the end plate 21A, a spiral lap portion 21C set up in axial direction from the front face side of the end plate 21A, and a plurality of heat radiating fins 21D set up radially on the back face side of the end plate 21A. At the tip of the lap portion 21C, a recessed groove 23, whose groove depth of the inner periphery side is larger than that of the outer peripheral side, is formed. A deformed seal member 24, that is spirally curved and whose height of the inner peripheral side is larger than that of the outer peripheral side, is fitted in the recessed groove 23.
