Abstract:
To suppress enlargement in an axial direction of a rotating shaft by restricting movement toward a back pressure chamber, of a seal member without using a separate member such as a circlip.SOLUTION: A seal member 50 has a contact portion 54 capable of being kept into contact with a bearing 28. Thus movement toward a back pressure chamber 36, of the seal member 50 is restricted by contact of the contact portion 54 of the seal member 50 with the bearing 28 even when the seal member 50 is moved toward the back pressure chamber 36 by pressure difference between a motor chamber 40s and the back pressure chamber 36 even in an unsteady state that a pressure of the motor chamber 40s is over a pressure of the back pressure chamber 36. A cutout portion 55 for communicating an inner peripheral face and an outer peripheral face of the seal member 50, is formed on the contact portion 54. By flow-in of a refrigerant from the back pressure chamber 36 toward an insertion hole 27 through the cutout portion 55, the pressure of the refrigerant in the back pressure chamber 36 is easily acted on the seal member 50, and the seal member 50 can be easily returned to an original position before the movement toward the back pressure chamber 36.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
