Spiral blade parts 20 are formed on a fixed scroll 1 and the movable scroll 2, respectively. The fixed scroll 1 is superposed on the movable scroll 20 so that one blade 20 is located between the other blades 20. In this scroll type pump in which the movable scroll 2 is rotated in a prescribed radius to movingly compress a sealed space S formed between both the blades 20, a plurality of sliding member 3 are arranged on the back surface side of the movable scroll 2, and the back pressure applying means 4 for pressing the movable scroll 2 toward the fixed scroll 1 through the sliding member 3 by pressing the sliding member 3 from the back surface side and making the sliding members 3 movable in the direction substantially orthogonal to the pressing direction is independently mounted on the back surface of each sliding member 3.
