Title:
SCROLL VACUUM PUMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS62210278
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable a scroll compressor to be applied to a vacuum pump by separating, in an atmospheric pressure chamber, the oil contained is discharged gas and filling the rear-side of a driving scroll with it.

CONSTITUTION: A lower housing 7 is provided with an inlet mouthpiece 27 and also its interior is maintained at a sucking pressure and oil 30 is stored in its lower part. On the other hand, an upper housing 9 is provided with an exhaust pipe 28 and also its interior is used as an atmospheric pressure chamber 12. The oil 30 is sucked together with sucked field into a compression chamber 3 and then discharged into the atmospheric chamber 12 to be separated from discharged fluid. The oil thus separated is stored in the lower part of the upper housing 9 and push-presses the back of a driving scroll 1, while it also seals the clearance between the driving scroll 1 and the upper housing 9. Thus, the sealing performance is remarkably improved, and even if a scroll compressor is used as a vacuum pump, it can be operated with high efficiency.
