To provide a scum weir, a manufacturing method of a thin cast piece, a manufacturing device of the thin cast piece and the thin cast piece manufactured by the manufacturing device of this thin cast piece, capable of manufacturing the thin cast piece being high in the ratio of an equiaxial crystal and hardly causing a crack by bending.
A scum weir 20 is used in the manufacturing method of the thin cast piece for manufacturing a thin cast piece 1 by forming and growing a coagulation shell 5 on a peripheral surface of cooling drums 11, by supplying molten steel 3 via an immersion nozzle 19 to a molten steel gathering part 16 formed of a pair of rotating cooling drums 11 and 11 and a pair of side weirs 15, and is constituted of a material containing a coagulation nucleation accelerating substance having carbon 3 mass% or more and 15 mass% or less, having a grating conformity degree with ferrite iron of 6% or less of 5 mass% or more and 97 mass% or less, and metallic oxide containing the coagulation nucleation accelerating substance of 55 mass% or more and 95 mass% or less.
