Abstract:
PURPOSE: To perform reliable detection of displacement during movement of an additional mass.
CONSTITUTION: A damping device 1 causes damping of vibration in a way that an additional mass 6 is moved in a direction X through the drive force of an AC servo motor 8. A motor command signal is fed from an excitation control part 9 to the motor 8 and the additional mass 6 is moved in response to the magnitude of vibration. An abnormality circuit 40 compares the output value of a displacement sensor 27 with a set value responding to the position of each of the position sensors 22-24, and stops the motor 8 when a deviation therebetween is produced.
