Title:
SEA BOTTOM DEPOSIT SUCTION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3229211
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the work efficiency by notching a peripheral wall of an opening in a lower end of a vertical cylindrical body of which upper part is connected with a suction pump locally to provide a difference in steps and forming a plurality of suction ports on the cylindrical peripheral wall in the upper part thereof.
SOLUTION: A vertical cylindrical body 4 connected with a suction pump 8 and a support frame 11 which suspends it and sweeps a sea bottom 1 constitute a sea bottom deposit absorption device. Next, at the time of sweeping, a lower fringe of a stepped section S bites a deposit layer 2, and a violent stream generated in a clearance between an upper side of the stepped section S and a surface of the layer 2 collapses the layer 2. Then, deposit which is scraped up and soft deposit in a surface layer part of the layer 2 are suctioned by a pump 8 into a cylinder 4 through a plurality of suction ports 6 formed in an opening at a lower end of the cylinder 4 and on a peripheral wall above it and are stored in a tank 9 for disposal. A cover like a bamboo hat which covers the suction ports 6 guides a stream containing deposit into the suction ports 6 to prevent the pollution of sea water due to the diffusion of the deposit. Consequently, it is possible to execute the work continuously without causing clogging.
