Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sea water intake facility capable of continuously and automatically removing jellyfishes or other marine creatures and refuse in an unmanned condition in order to supply sea water without troubles of operation of a electric power station or a factory using sea water as cooling water.
SOLUTION: A water level difference signal 5 is generated in the afflux of not only a large volume of jellyfishes but also marine creatures and refuse and a rotary screen 8, a continuous suction draining device 1 and a vacuum generator 2 start by receiving the signal as a start signal. In the vacuum generator 2, the continuous suction draining device 1 is brought into a decompressed state and guided to a dust removing bucket 10 to continuously suck inflow marine creatures and refuse 12 into the continuous suction draining device 1 and transmit them to the large volume of tank 3. At the completion of the afflux of marine creatures and refuse, the water level difference signal 5 is eliminated and the facility automatically comes in a standby state.
