PURPOSE: To satisfactory confirm by selecting a dividing lines which intersect with the seal print many times, and by composing one seal print from the registration seal and the collation seal which are divided by the dividing lines.

CONSTITUTION: Both seal prints of a collated seal print and a registered seal print which are accumulated in a storage part 4 are displayed on a rear display part 5 of special data processing. Dividing lines of (n) pieces which pass through the center of the registered seal print 11 are set, and the histogram of the frequency where a dividing line 42 in an angle θ radian and the registered seal print is calculated. A registered seal print 41 and a collated seal print 48 are divided by a dividing line 44 of an angle θ0 which corresponds to the maximum value of the histogram. A half 41A where the registered seal print 41 is divided and a half 48A where the collated seal print 48 is divided are composed and displayed on the display part 5. The operator confirms collation by referring to the output.
