Title:
SEAL MEMBER FOR HEAT-EXCHANGER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3303586
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the occurrence of thermal denaturation and to prevent gas leak between a seal member and a core by a method wherein means to lower bending rigidity are arranged at the two end parts in a longitudinal direction of the seal member of the cross arm of, a heat accumulation type heat-exchanger.
CONSTITUTION: When a rotary heat accumulation type heat-exchanger is used in a gas turbine, the temperature of gas flowing through a low pressure high temperature gas passage 5 is increased to 1000°C or more and a temperature difference of approximate 900-1000°C is produced between a high pressure low temperature air passage 6 and the low pressure high temperature gas passage. In this case, since a cross arm part 21 of an inner seal 2 has a seal 21a made of a ceramic material coated with a surface material 21b, the coefficient of a thermal expansion is widely different therebetween, and thermal denaturation is produced. Thereby, slits 50 are formed in the thickness of the cross arm part 21 and the cross arm part is divided throughout a specified length 1, bending rigidity is reduced to 1/4 compared with a part having not slit 50. This constitution maintains flatness of a slide surface 21d and an upper surface 21e opposite thereto and holds sealing ability between the cross arm 21 and a core slide part.
