Abstract:
To realize a structure capable of securing excellent sealing performance over a long period without increasing production cost and without increasing friction torque even when used under such a severe environment as exposed to foreign matter such as slurry and salt water and also capable of being reduced in weight.
A core 15a to which seal material 17 is joined and a slinger 16a allowing the tip edge of the seal material 17 to come into slidable contact therewith are manufactured with titanium or titanium alloy sheet metal. Hard film layer such as titanium nitride layer is formed on the entire surfaces of the core 15a and the slinger 16a.
