PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve water sealing performance, and to prevent leakage of grout by differencing the length of one end part and the length of the other end part running in the peripheral direction of an elastic water sealable annular plate-like seal material in a seal installed in the joining part between a cylindrical leg and a steel pipe line inserted into the leg.
SOLUTION: A brush type seal 11 installed in the joining part between a cylindrical leg 5 and a steel pipe pile 6 inserted into the leg 5, is formed as a structure by combining spring steel, a wire brush and a stainless steel wire net, and is composed of a cylindrical upper member running along the inner peripheral surface of the leg 5 and an almost funnel-shaped lower member wound along the peripheral surface of the steel pipe pile 6 by extending downward from the lower end of this upper member. Here, the length of one end part and the length of the other end part running in the peripheral direction of a seal material are made different. Thus, even if dislocation is caused between the steel pipe pile 6 and the leg 5, a seal can instantly cope with it by resiliency of the brush type seal 11 to improve water sealing performance in the joining part as well as to prevent leakage of grout 9 injected into the joining part.
