Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the seal performance of a dust lip when a stud is oscillated in a low-temperature atmosphere without increasing the number of part items, without excessively compressing the lip, without requiring skill to the assembling work of parts, and without making a dust cover interfere with the other member.SOLUTION: A ball joint 101 connected between two joint objects comprises a dust lip 140 at a small-diameter opening part 133 of a dust cover 131 having a seal lip 139 for elastically covering and sealing a stud 113 which is connected to one joint object, for example, a knuckle arm 201, and the dust lip 140 elastically pushes a seal face 141 formed in an annular region surrounding the stud 113 of the knuckle arm 201, and inclined to the same direction at an angle smaller than that of a tapered face 204 to the tapered face 204 which is inclined to a direction progressing toward a ball head part 112.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
