Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the versatility, water sealability, and durability by uniformly fixing a seal member in a seal structure of a butterfly valve.
SOLUTION: A fitting groove 11 provided with inclined surfaces 12, 13 of reverse gradient are recessed in a valve seat surface of a valve box 1 in a dove-tail manner, the fitting groove 11 is split in the flow direction to provide two or more annular spaces, a rubber valve seat 2 of the same gradient is fitted to a part of the annular space, and the normal temperature hardening resin which is prepared in the paste condition of high viscosity is filled in the residual annular spaces, and hardened to form a fixed member 3. Because the inner diameter of the rubber valve seat is uniformly fixed, and no uneven tightening margin from the outer diameter of a valve disk is generated, the valve function is uniformly demonstrated over the whole circumference, and the resin can be filled irrespective of the size or shape of a butterfly valve.
