Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealant cutter and a sealant cutting method, which facilitate the work and secure the safety, in a work to cut the sealant of a vehicle window frame.
SOLUTION: A sealant cutter for a vehicle window frame comprises a stay 20 formed in such a manner that a front rise surface 20b makes contact with a window frame simultaneously with contact of the reference surface 20a of a sealant cutter with the outer surface of a window glass; a cutter holder 40 to fix a cutter to the reference surface side 20a of the stay 20; a cutter blade extension opening 22 formed in the rise surface 20b; and handles 31, 32, and 33 arranged above the stay 20 and gripped by hands. A cutter blade is extended by a short length and a first round cut is formed in the sealant and the cutter blade is then extended by a longer length and a second round cut is formed to cut the sealant.
