PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic type compressor whose quietness has been improved, and a refrigerator mounted with the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a hermetic type compressor having a sealed container. A top surface or A bottom surface of the sealed container has two faces sectioned by a boundary part 23. The shape of the boundary part may be roughly a U-shape, or other shapes. The boundary part can be like, for instance, a curved line, or a straight line bending in the middle (e.g., a V-shape). The top surface or the bottom surface has only to be sectioned into two curved surfaces with the boundary part as a boundary (preferably, sectioned into two curved surfaces with different curvatures).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
