Abstract:

To reduce power consumption of a sealed compressor by combination of the sealed compressor and a starter.

A sealed compressor 101 and a starter of the sealed compressor are provided. A sealed container 103 accommodates a motor 107 comprising a stator 127 and a rotor 111, and a compression element 105 driven by the motor 107. The motor 107 is a synchronous motor with the rotor 111 comprising a permanent magnet, and thereby a low-power-consumption high-efficiency sealed compressor 101 is provided.
