Title:
SEALED CROSSFLOW COOLING TOWER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001091167
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a sealed crossflow cooling tower which reduces the operating quantity of cooling water and the power consumption and can raise the cooling effect even while the outside temperature is high in the summer season.

The sealed crossflow cooling tower composed of a blower 8, a water spray tank 11, a wet heat exchanger 5, a lower water tank 10, a spray water circulating pump 13, etc., introduces a process water returning from the load side to the wet heat exchanger 5 to cool with the evaporation latent heat of the water sprayed on the wet heat exchanger 5. A dry heat exchanger 3 is disposed at the center side of the tower body 1 in the wet heat exchanger 5 through an eliminator 4, and a process water outlet of the dry heat exchanger 3 is connected to a process water inlet of the wet heat exchanger 5 through a piping 19.
