Title:
SEALED ELECTRICAL FEED-THROUGH DEVICE PROVIDED WITH STRAIGHT ISOLATED PIN IN OFFSET OVAL GLASS SEAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3796741
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed electrical feed-through device for a detonator or squib for an air bag ignition device. SOLUTION: In a conductive main body 11 with a front surface and a back surface, an oval or elliptical through hole O is disposed to be offset from a center. A straight isolated pin 13 is sealed at a center of the oval or elliptical through hole O by glass seal 17 to it to protrude from the back surface of the conductive main body outward, with one end accessible from the front surface of the conductive main body 11. A conductive straight grounding pin 15 is connected to the back surface of the conductive main body 11 to be protruded from the back surface of the conductive main body 11 outward roughly in parallel to the isolated pin. The oval or elliptical through hole O has a long axis a and a short axis b in such a way that bridge wire of various sorts of length is connectable between the front surface of the conductive main body 11 and one end of the straight isolated pin 13.
