The sealed letter producing method includes: an envelope code reading stage 35 for reading an envelope code from an envelope 20 on which a customer address and the envelope code 12b are printed and which is conveyed on an envelope conveying line 45a; an enclosure code reading stage 37 for reading an enclosure code from the enclosure 25 on which the enclosure code 25b is printed and which is conveyed on an enclosure conveying line 45b; an enclosure accumulating stage 39 for forming an enclosure accumulation 26 by accumulating the enclosures delivered to the same customer on the enclosure conveying line based on the read enclosure code; and an enclosing and sealing stage 42 for enclosing the enclosure accumulation conveyed out from the enclosure conveying line corresponding to the customer to whom the envelope is sent in the envelope conveyed from the envelop conveying line, and sealing the envelope by making the read envelope code and enclosure code correspond to each other.
