This sealed rolling bearing 10 is provided with an outer ring 11 formed with an outer ring raceway surface 11c in the inner peripheral surface thereof, an inner ring 12 formed with an inner ring raceway surface 12c in the outer peripheral surface thereof, a plurality of rolling bodies 13 rotatably arranged between the outer ring raceway surface 11c and the inner ring raceway surface 12c, and a sealing device 20 provided on a side of the rolling bodies 13 and installed in one of the outer ring 11 and the inner ring 12, while bringing the lip 22c in slide-contact with a seal groove 12a formed in the other thereof. In the seal groove 12a, shot peening is performed to, at least, a slide-contact surface 12d to be brought in slide-contact with the lip 22c.
