PURPOSE: To suppress the reduction of the characteristic of an oil feed pump at the time of a start and prevent a seizure by providing a stirring system stirring a liquid in an oil sump on the oil feed pump of a sealed rotary compressor, the main spindle, or a rotor rotated together with the main spindle.

CONSTITUTION: An oil sump 2, a main spindle 3 and an oil feed pump 13 are provided in a sealed container 1, and stirring blades 15 are provided on the shaft of the oil feed pump 13. When the main spindle 3 starts to rotate, the oil feed pump 13 and the stirring blades 15 are concurrently rotated to stir the oil in the oil sump 2. At the time of flooded start of a compressor, the gasification of the liquid refrigerant dissolved in the oil is accelerated, the liquid refrigerant is quickly expelled from the oil, the flow of the oil feed pump 13 is quickly recovered, and the seizure of a bearing and the like is prevented.
