Abstract:

To provide a sealed type secondary battery which can retain in a prescribed space the gas that is generated by repeating charge and discharge and has leaked outside of the unit cell.

This is a sealed type secondary battery that comprises a secondary battery 12 that has a gas discharge part and is capable of charge and discharge, a case 11 having a housing part 11e which has an insertion port, through which the secondary battery 12 is housed, and a holder 20 for closing the insertion port. Sealing ribs 19a made of elastic material which surround the surrounding of the gas discharge part and of which tip part is supported by being energized so as to fall toward the gas discharge part are provided on the face to be opposed to the housing part 11e of the holder 20.
