Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a sealing alloy for alumina ceramics having superior sealing strength by incorporating specified amts. of Ni, Co and Fe and further incorporating specified amts. of Mn, Si, Al and C.
CONSTITUTION: A sealing alloy for alumina ceramics adaptable to a glass sealing method using low-cost glass is obtd. by incorporating 30W34% Ni, 16W20% Co and 54W46% Fe and further incorporating ≤1% Mn, ≤0.3% Si, ≤0.1% Al and ≤0.01% C. When the sealing alloy is used, unreasonable strain does not act on alumina ceramics and glass for sealing and the sealing strength can be increased.
