Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To closely install a protective cap and a fastened member in a close contact state without depending on work accuracy of a member in a sealing device of a fastener for sealing a head part or a tip part of a bolt.
SOLUTION: When installing the protective cap 3 by inserting an erecting piece 22 arranged in the head part 21 of the bolt 2 from an opening 34 of the protective cap 3, an inner wall surface 31a of the protective cap presses the tip of the erecting piece 22, and the erecting piece 22 is bent and deformed in a cavity 39 so as to be torn in a bifurcated shape. A rib body 32 is sandwiched from both sides by the deformed erecting piece 22 and the fastened member 8 to lock the protective cap 3. Fluctuation in length dimension of the erecting piece 22 is absorbed by the cavity 39 so that the protective cap 3 is installed on the fastened member 8 in a close contact state.
