Abstract:
PURPOSE:To surely perform the operation of flowing and stopping fluid, by providing at least two valve discs on a valve stem inserted from the outside and providing valve seats for closing a flow passage with their respective engagement to said at least two valve discs. CONSTITUTION:A valve stem mounting part 2 equipped with a sealing material 2a is provided in a flow passage main body 1, and a valve stem 3 is inserted from the outside to both mount two valve discs 4 to the valve stem 3 and provid two valve seats 5 in the side of the flow passage main body 1. A hard material may be used for both the valve seat 5 and the valve disc 4, while a softer material may be used for one of them than that for the other. In this way, handling work of a rod of the valve stem 3 mounted to the flow passage main body 1, being able to close the flow passage with the engagement of the two valve discs 4 to their correspondig respective valve seats 5, can surely stop the flowing motion of fluid even if a function of stopping the flowing motion of fluid is lost due to the wear in one of the sets of the valve disc 4 and the valve seat 5.
