PURPOSE: To seal the part to be welded of electric welded tube differing in inside diameter without fail by providing a roll 12 which contacts rollingly with the inside circumferential wall of the tube to a showering box and maintaining the specified spacing from the inside circumferential wall of the tube.
CONSTITUTION: A showering box 5 is pushed always upward by the operation of a cylinder 7 and a link 6, and a roll 12 which contacts rollingly with the inside circumferential wall of the tube is provided by means of a bracket 11 in the upper part on the rear side wall of the box 5, so that the spacing between the inside circumferential wall of the tube and the box 5 is maintained always constant. Thus, the device is made adaptable to welding of tubes having different inside diameters. Many ejection holes for gas are provided to an upper wall 13 and the inside circumferential wall, and the gas is ejected uniformly to around the weld point 10.
