Abstract:
To obtain a sealing device which can stably maintain desired seal performance for a long period of time at a low cost.SOLUTION: In a sealing device 20, a bearing internal space S1 and an inter-lip space S2 isolated from ambient air are formed between both lips 25b, 25c by the slide contact of tips of the annular first lip 25b and the second lip 25c arranged at a seal member 23 for sealing the bearing internal space S1 of a rolling bearing 1 with an external peripheral face 4a of a rear lid 4. A recess 25e is formed at a lip inner face 25d of the second lip 25c arranged at an anti-rolling bearing side out of both the lips 25b, 25c, and the inter-lip space S2 is released to the ambient air via the recess 25e and a clearance G formed by the second lip 25c which is deformed accompanied by the generation of negative pressure in the inter-lip space S2 between the rear lid 4 and itself.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
