To provide a sealing device capable of providing sufficient guiding performance and sealability to a window plate when the window plate is stopped and of eliminating or reducing sliding resistance when the window plate is moved.
This sealing device includes a sealing strip 102. The sealing strip includes a tubular sealing part 130 at a position facing a window plate 66. The tubular sealing part includes an inner space 134 which is closed by an elastically deformable hollow wall 132 and the inside of which is filled with gas. The tubular sealing part is connected to a gas pressure regulating mechanism so as to be vented. When the window plate is stopped, the tubular sealing part is brought into contact with the window plate while imparting a predetermined pressing force to the window plate to seal between the window plate and a door frame 61. When the window plate is at least moved upward, the gas pressure in the inner space is reduced by the gas pressure regulating mechanism to bring the window plate and the tubular sealing part into the state of non-contact with each other, or bring the window plate into contact with the tubular seal part while the pressing force of the tubular sealing part onto the window plate is reduced.
