In a sealing device for transmission case of an engines in which an oil seal 9 is fitted into the inner circumference of a transmission shaft insertion hole 5, lips 9a, 9b at the inner circumference of the oil seal 9 are made to contact with a lip contact surface 2a on an outer circumference side of a rotary transmission shaft 2, an annular oil seal cover 10 is provided between an outer transmission wheel 7 and the oil seal 9, the oil seal 9 is covered with the oil seal cover 10 from the front side, a front side lip 9c is provided at the oil seal 9, the front side lip 9c is made to contact with a rear surface 10a of the oil seal cover 10, an outwardly-sided protrusion 10f is made to protrude toward a transmission case 1 side from the oil seal cover 10 outwardly sided in the diameter direction of the oil seal cover 10 rather than the front side lip 9c in the oil seal 9, and the outwardly sided protrusion 10f is made to be along the circumferential direction of the oil seal cover 10.
