To provide a pack-type sealing device 1 with a slinger 2 and a lip member 3 combined, the lip member 3 having a sub lip 5i which gives no great greasing resistance to main lips 5g, 5h, in which no turn-up occurs, and which is free of sliding wear while preventing an increase in torque due to sliding motion of the sub lip 5i.

The sealing device 1 comprises a combination of the slinger 2 which is mounted on one member 21 out of two members having relative rotation and the lip member 3 which is mounted on the other member 22, the slinger 2 having a mounting portion 2a and a plane portion 2b in one unit, the lip member 3 having the main lips 5g, 5h in close contact with the end face of the plane portion 2b of the slinger 2. Inside the main lips 5g, 5h where they deviate from the mounting portion 2a of the slinger 2 in the axial direction, the sub lip 5i in a labyrinth structure is provided in opposition to a peripheral face 21a of one member 21 in the radial direction.
