In the sealing device composed of a rubber-like elastic body with a hardness Hs of 90, when a diameter at the tip 11a of a first lip 11 contacting a groove bottom face 21 of an annular groove 20 is R1, a diameter at the tip 12a of a second lip 12 slidably contacting the outer peripheral surface 30 of a shaft 3 is R2, the diameter of the groove bottom face 21 is r1, and the diameter of the shaft outer peripheral surface 30 is r2, |R1-R2|/2=(|r1-r2|/2)×1.3(±0.03) is satisfied. When an outer diameter in a groove bottom of a pressure receiving groove 13 is R3, and an inner diameter in the groove bottom of the pressure receiving groove 13 is R4, 4≤((R3-R4)/|r1-r2|-1)×100≤8 is satisfied. The inner peripheral surface 14 of a base 10 is a tapered face inclined to gradually reduce a radial cross-sectional width of the base 10 toward a low pressure side, and an inclination angle α comprised with respect to the radial direction of the tapered face satisfies 3°≤α≤7°.
