Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve seal performance against outside foreign matters such as mud water and dust, in a sealing device having a combination of an oil seal and a dust cover.SOLUTION: In a sealing device 11 having an oil seal 21 which is attached to a housing 61, and seals a sealing fluid in a machine, and a dust cover 31 which is attached to a rotating shaft 62 at the outside O of a machine of the oil seal 21, and co-rotates together with a rotating shaft 62, a non-rotatable cylindrical part 41 is arranged at least at a part of the dust cover 31 at an external peripheral side, a minute clearance c is set between an external peripheral face of the dust cover 31 and an internal peripheral face of the cylindrical part 41, and a non-contact type labyrinth seal 42 which is formed of the minute clearance c is arranged. The non-rotatable cylindrical part 41 is formed of a reinforcing ring 22 which is arranged at the oil seal 21, and a cylindrical member which is fit to the housing 61, or a cylindrical portion which is integrally molded at the housing 61.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
