Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of mechanical noises and improve sealability by holding lubricant between a resin main seal lip slid with a bath, and an auxiliary seal lip arranged on a sealed object of the main seal lip and slid with a shaft.
SOLUTION: A sealing device is prepared by combination of a rubber-like elastic first seal lip 31 and a PTFE second seal lip 52. The second seal lip 52 mainly provides sealing function. The first seal lip 31 temporarily prevents LLC or foreign materials contained in LLC from entering the sealing device main body, and holds grease 4 in respect to the second seal lip 52. Since the grease 4 is supplied a portion around a leading end 31a of the first seal lip, a sliding surface of the second seal lip, and a shaft 3, sliding resistance can be reduced, abrasion resistance is improved, and mechanical noises can be reduced.
