Abstract:
To provide a sealing material capable of switching a passable state or a non-passable state, and a building member structure applying the sealing material.SOLUTION: The sealing material includes: a sealable base portion 41 having a penetrated hollow section 411; and a sealable expandable material 42 provided in the hollow section 411 and expanding or contracting depending on its surrounding environment. The expandable material, which opens the hollow section 411 when contracted, makes the hollow section 411 to be passable. On the other hand, the expandable material, which closes the hollow section 411 when expanded, makes the hollow section 411 not to be impassable. The expandable material 42, which expands or contracts depending on a surrounding environment of the expandable material 42, opens the hollow section 411 when contracted, makes water to pass through the hollow section 411, whereas the expandable material 42 closes the hollow section 411 when expanded, makes to make water not to pass through the hollow section 411.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
