PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable coating application of sealing material in a manner so as not to substantially include air bubbles in the applied sealing material by providing the coating applicator with a pressurizing means for extruding the sealing material into a syringe and an air bubble discharge means which is mounted to a sealing material discharge means for discharging the sealing material stored in this syringe and discharges the air bubbles in the sealing material discharge means.
SOLUTION: When air of prescribed pressure is supplied from an in-syringe gas supply means 2 into the syringe 1, the sealing material 15 in the syringe 1 is extruded by the pressure of the air sent from the in-syringe gas supply means 2 and is discharged from a cylindrical sealing material discharge means 8. At this time, the air bubbles 16 included in the sealing material 15 tending to pass the sealing material discharge means 8 are discharged via a pipe 10 which communicates with a hole 17 for discharge disposed in the central part, etc., in the longitudinal direction of the sealing material discharge means 8 by utilizing a vacuum pump 9. As a result, the air bubbles 16 are substantially not included in the sealing material 15 which is discharged from the sealing material discharge means 8.
