To make satisfactory sealing possible with air being contained without allowing contents to be scattered even in the case where the contents are powder and to improve self-sustained structure and external appearance by a method wherein after a bag having its upper end opened is filled with contents, sealing parts at the upper end of side faces of the bag are brought into contact with each other, while the side faces of the bag being held with a distance kept, and sealed together.
A standing pouch 1, with its bottom being flat and two side faces 1a and 1b thereof being sealed respectively at side edges, is filled with powdered detergent or the like, and before sealing is made with a sealing bar 2 positioned above, two pieces of vacuum cups 3 are attached in sucking respectively to the side faces 1a and 1b of the standing pouch 1, and the side faces 1a and 1b are separated in sucking toward the outsides. While the standing pouch is kept under such a condition, sealing side faces of the standing pouch 1 are held with two holding handles 4 and with the holding handles moved respectively in the directions marked with arrows, sealing parts are brought into contact with each other and heat sealing is made, being held form both sides by the sealing bar 2. Thereby, air sufficiently remains in a part above the contents in the standing pouch 1, and self-sustained structure and external appearance are improved for the standing pouch.
