Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a sealing structure for EL capable of minimizing no-light emitting part area as much as possible in the case of sealing the EL with two sealing films.
CONSTITUTION: Both edges of an EL element body 1 are covered with a first sealing film 21 situated on the light emitting side of the body 1 by bending the film, and the reverse side bending parts 211, 212 of the first sealing film 21 age thermally sealed to both end parts 221, 222 of a second sealing film 22. Since only the thickness for one sealing film is present on the edge part, no-light emitting area can be contracted.
