Abstract:
PURPOSE: To recirculate sealing water through a vacuum pump by using air surrounding an equipment without using a heat-exchanger, so as to cool water having a temperature which has been increased after use in vacuum pump down to an original sealing water temperature.
CONSTITUTION: A motor 3, a sealing water type vacuum pump 1, and a cooling tank 9 are mounted on a common base 2 incorporating a sealing water supply water tank 2a, adjacent to one another, a fan 11 is attached to the rotary shaft of the vacuum pump 1 on the side remote from the driven side so that air can be fed into the cooling tank 9 while gas and sealing water flowing out from the vacuum pump 1 are led to the upper side of the cooling tank 9, and are sprayed downward from a shower head 8. Further, the sealing water is made into contact with ascending air blow from the fan 11 in a counterflow condition so as to be cooled down, and thereafter, is led to the tank 2a. Further, the sealing water is sucked into the vacuum pump 1 by way of a sealing water introduction pipe 12 and a foot valve 13.
