To provide a seamed felt which is used for making paper and can reduce vibrations / noises caused during traveling in a paper-making machine without extremely increasing the basis weight of a base fabric.

This seamed felt which is used for making the paper is characterized by having the base fabric 1 whose ground portion is formed from a double woven fabric in which a weft 7 is interlaced with a pair of warps 5, 6 forming connection loops 3, 4, and disposing a single woven fabric-superposed portion woven in a state that two single woven layers 11, 12 formed from a pair of the warps 5, 6, respectively, are superposed on each other, near to the connection loops in the base fabric. Especially, the single woven layer is a plain woven fabric.
