To suppress the generation of seam mark caused by the difference in physical properties between a seamed part and a ground part, reduce the generation of abnormal noise in the operation of a papermaking machine, and suppress the stagger of the loops for end joining use to improve the workability of loop joining work.

A base fabric 1 of felt has end-joining loops 8 formed by folding a shot yarn giving a warp of a paper machine on a loom, and has a ground part formed by the double weaving by intertwining a weft 10 to both of a pair of warps 3, 4 forming the loops. A laminate structure part composed of mutually superposed single weave fabric layers 11, 12 formed of each of the pair of warps constituting the loop is formed near the loop of the base fabric. The wefts 13, 14 constituting two fabric layers in the laminate structure part are woven to form a mutually symmetrical textures and are superposed in the thickness direction.
