PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide felt of which the seam part has the same level of the surface as those of the ground cloth by setting the loop direction of the seam part in order and facilitating the insertion of the selvage into the seam part.
SOLUTION: In double or multi-woven seamed felt, in order to prevent the loop composed of the warp yarns in the upper yarn layer and the lower yarn layer forming the seam parts of the upper side fabric and the back side fabric from being twisted to one loop side, a loop-fixing CMD yarn is introduced between the DM yarn forming the loop and the adjacent MD yarn so that the yarn is entangled to only the upper yarn layer and the lower yarn layer of the MD yarn constituting the loop. In addition, the loop-fixing CMD yarn is passed through both sides of the MD yarn constituting the loop. When one MD yarn in the upper yarn layer or the lower yarn layer forming the loop comes into touch with the CMD yarn forming the ground cloth only at one side, the DM yarn comes into contact with the loop-fixing CMD yarn on the side opposing to the one side contacting with the CMD yarn forming the ground cloth.
