To obtain a seamless tubular composite film having predominant durability against a long time use at a high temperature, adhesive force with a fluororesin layer provided on a surface layer, thickness accuracy and smoothness.
The seamless tubular composite film is obtained by externally engaging a seamless tubular film of fluororesin having a film thickness of 5 to 20 μm and oriented by 2 to 10% in a circumferential direction with a seamless tubular film of polyamic acid of thermosetting polyimide resin or its precursor, heating it (at 200 to 400°C) and fixing it. To shorten the heating time and prevent adherence of dust by giving thermal conductivity and surface antistatic property, high heat conduction agent such as boron nitride can be dispersed in the polyimide resin or electric conduction agent such as carbon black is dispersed in the fluororesin. This is effective as toner fixing member for an electrophotographic copier or laser printer.
