This search support device is used for support search work wherein the movable body observed at a fixed point is searched for after an arbitrary period of time has elapsed. This device is characterized by having a reception means 1 for receiving information on the movable body including the traveling direction, speed, and observation time of the movable body observed at the fixed point, a computation means 2 for computing the existence zone of the movable body and the probability distribution of existence of the movable body in the existence zone based on the received information on the movable body and present hour, and a display means 4 for displaying the computed existence zone and probability distribution of existence.
