Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a flavoring agent of a mild taste, by diluting a bittern to a given dilution or less, or enhance the salty taste of the bittern, by mixing the bittern in a specific proportion with common salt.

CONSTITUTION: 0.1W20wt% calcium gluconate is added to a bittern itself or dehydrated, concentrated or diluted bittern to give a mixed salt composition containing 15W21pts.wt. MgCl2, 3W10pts.wt. MgSO4, 2W4pts.wt. KCl, 0.2W 0.5pt.wt. MgBr2 and 2W7pts.wt. NaCl. The resultant composition is then mixed with starch, dextrin, bread crumb or cellulosic powder to afford a powder or tablet.
