Electric fitting connectors 2 and 4 installed between a control ECU 1 and motor units 3 and 5 for seat belts receive the control signal transmitted from the control ECU 1 via a communication line C, and in response to the fed control signal, drive signals for driving the motors included in the motor units 3 and 5 are emitted from motor drive circuits 21 and 41. That is, the difference in the variation between the motor units 3 and 5 originating from different types of seat belts SB and SB' is absorbed by the electric fitting connectors 2 and 4. Therefore, the control ECU 1 is only required to emit the control signal corresponding to the types of the motor units 3 and 5, so that it is possible to unify the hardware specifications of control ECUs 1.
