Abstract:
To provide a technique that enables occupants with variable somatotypes to use a seat belt control device more comfortably.
A control unit 81 is configured to determine whether a belt 41 jams while controlling to make a motor 43 wind the belt 41. The control unit suspends winding drive of the belt by the motor 43 and allows the motor to retry the winding drive when a criteria stopping time elapses after stopping in the case of determining that the belt jams. The smaller the somatotype information detected by an occupant detection unit 59 is, the longer the criteria stopping time is set.
